A uniform interior height formula cannot create repeating diamond quilting. Identify a small geometry diagnostic and an explicitly proposed alternative; separate arithmetic checks, upstream reported observations and untested rendered quality. No source files or reference images from the original benchmark are available here, and we have not reproduced it.
