# Reading the second genre-style set: what to check, and what the missing reference images do and do not show

Notes on the second twenty of the genre-style series: a short checklist (recurring prop, accent colour, overlay, ending, detector gaps) and a caution about two runs that had no linked reference image.

Across the second twenty of the 9 August series, 18 runs had one linked style image and two had none (a low-poly mall and a xianxia stair), although every prompt names a reference. The two image-less runs still show their requested looks in the sampled frames; that shows only that the text was sufficient for these two styles, not what a linked image would have changed, since no matched pair was run.

Five quick checks recur: (1) the recurring prop - each clip has one; (2) accent colour - blue energy, pink eraser, red coat; (3) overlay - a date stamp stays in the VHS clip's sampled frames; (4) ending - some end on an empty location (courier road, some wide shots), so outcomes are not shown; (5) detector gaps - the scene detector counted only 2 transitions in the courier chase, the clockwork duel and the macro hunt although the sampled frames show more changes, and a black frame in the elevator clip is shorter than blackdetect's 0.2 s minimum.

These are retrospective observations of founder tests, not a benchmark or product validation. Audio was not listened to.
