The official video_wan2_2_5B_fun_inpaint template (Comfy-Org/workflow_templates 0cc0fba) feeds a start image and an end image to WanFunInpaintToVideo with the single Wan 2.2 Fun Inpaint 5B bf16 checkpoint, the wan2.2_vae and the umt5 text encoder. It has one KSampler (20 steps, CFG 6, uni_pc, shift 8) and no LoRA, switch or bypassed group, at 640x640, 81 frames and 24 fps. This differs from the 14B Fun Inpaint template (two-stage experts, 16 fps, wan_2.1_vae, 4-step LoRA group). Read statically; not executed.

Wan 2.2 5B Fun Inpaint in ComfyUI: the official template

Scope. This guide reads the official video_wan2_2_5B_fun_inpaint.json in Comfy-Org/workflow_templates at commit 0cc0fba562efe9f68e48050c2b82ed6495050bc2 (SHA256 8efa4d24...59ba, 17,061 bytes). All 14 nodes and 16 links were traced statically. The file has no subgraphs, no switch nodes and no bypassed or muted node. Nothing was run, and no model, image or linked page was downloaded.

1. Prerequisites
- A ComfyUI build with the core node WanFunInpaintToVideo (saved at version 0.3.56, newer than the 0.3.45 to 0.3.49 of the other nodes; a saved version string, not a tested minimum). The graph uses no custom node pack.
- Files, as declared by the loaders and the Model Links note (node 59, sizes as stated there):
  - models/diffusion_models/wan2.2_fun_inpaint_5B_bf16.safetensors (9.31 GB). This is one checkpoint, not a high-noise and low-noise pair.
  - models/vae/wan2.2_vae.safetensors (1.31 GB). This is the Wan 2.2 VAE; the 14B templates use wan_2.1_vae.
  - models/text_encoders/umt5_xxl_fp8_e4m3fn_scaled.safetensors (6.27 GB).
Together about 16.9 GB. No LoRA and no CLIP vision model is used: the clip_vision_output input of WanFunInpaintToVideo is left unconnected.

2. Start and end images
LoadImage 70 (example video_wan2_2_5B_fun_inpaint_start_image.png) feeds start_image on WanFunInpaintToVideo 73 (link 136). LoadImage 74 (example video_wan2_2_5B_fun_inpaint_end_image.png) feeds end_image (link 137). Both sit in the group "Step 2 - Start_image". How the node fits an image that does not match the output size, or what it does when one image is missing, is not in the file; prepare both frames at the output aspect ratio.

3. Size, length and fps
WanFunInpaintToVideo 73 holds width 640, height 640, length 81 and batch size 1 (widget names from the node's order; the file does not label them). Nothing is linked into those widgets, so the saved values are the effective ones. CreateVideo 57 sets 24 fps, so 81 frames are about 3.4 s. 81 has the 4n + 1 form that the Wan 2.2 reference code is documented to use (see the frame-count guide); whether the node enforces or rounds length is not in this file. The group "Step 4 - Video size and length" holds node 73.

4. Prompts and sampling
- Prompts: positive CLIPTextEncode 6 ("Flowers are in full bloom, time-lapse photography") and negative 7 (the usual Wan Chinese quality list). Both use CLIPLoader 38 (umt5_xxl_fp8_e4m3fn_scaled, type wan). VAELoader 39 loads wan2.2_vae.
- Model: UNETLoader 37 (wan2.2_fun_inpaint_5B_bf16) feeds ModelSamplingSD3 48 (shift 8), then KSampler 3.
- KSampler 3: seed 115716327295867 set to randomize, 20 steps, CFG 6, uni_pc, simple, denoise 1. Positive, negative and the starting latent come from WanFunInpaintToVideo 73 (links 131 to 133). Nothing is linked into steps or CFG, so the saved values apply.
- Output: VAEDecode 8, then CreateVideo 57 at 24 fps, then SaveVideo 58 (prefix video/ComfyUI, format auto, codec auto). Expect one 640x640 video of 81 frames, about 3.4 s, running from the start image toward the end image. That is the template's purpose; no output was produced here.

5. Run it
1) Put the three files in the folders above. 2) Open the template. 3) Load your first frame into LoadImage 70 and your last frame into LoadImage 74. 4) Edit prompts 6 and 7, and size and length on node 73. 5) Run. Expect one video under video/ComfyUI. There is no group to enable or bypass.

6. Failure cases and checks
- Wrong VAE: this template names wan2.2_vae. The 14B templates' wan_2.1_vae is a different file and is not what the loader names here.
- Wrong checkpoint: the Fun Inpaint 5B file is separate from the 5B ti2v and 5B Fun Control checkpoints and from the 14B Fun Inpaint pair.
- Image shape and missing images: see section 2.
- Out-of-memory at larger sizes or lengths: the file gives no VRAM figure and no size recommendation. The default is 640x640.
- The Model Links note has no tutorial link. Its folder tree matches the three files above.
- Single sampler: unlike the 14B templates, there is no second stage, so changing steps or CFG on node 3 changes the whole run. No speed-up route is in the file.

7. How it differs from the 14B Fun Inpaint template
One checkpoint, one KSampler and no LoRA group, where the 14B template has a high-noise and low-noise expert pair, two KSamplerAdvanced stages, an active 4-step LoRA group and a bypassed 20-step copy. It uses 24 fps and wan2.2_vae, where the 14B template uses 16 fps and wan_2.1_vae. Both use WanFunInpaintToVideo with 640x640, 81 frames and the same example-image pattern, and both leave clip_vision_output unconnected.
