Four official ComfyUI templates each have one boolean, saved off, that switches a few-step LoRA route. FLUX.2 t2i switches model and steps (20 or 8). Wan 2.2 14B T2V and I2V switch both expert models, steps (20 or 4), CFG (3.5 or 1) and the expert handoff (10 or 2). Qwen-Image-Edit-2511 switches model, steps (40 or 4) and CFG (4 or 1). The Wan samplers save the "on" values, and Qwen saves CFG 3. Read statically; not executed.

Turbo and Lightning LoRA switches in official ComfyUI templates

Scope. This compares four official templates in Comfy-Org/workflow_templates: FLUX.2 text-to-image, Wan 2.2 14B text-to-video and Qwen-Image-Edit-2511 at commit 0cc0fba562efe9f68e48050c2b82ed6495050bc2, and Wan 2.2 14B image-to-video at 3c2199b (byte-identical at 0cc0fba). Each template has one boolean inside its subgraph that turns a few-step LoRA route on or off. All values come from reading the graphs statically. Nothing was executed, so nothing here measures speed or quality.

What the boolean switches (saved default: off in all four)
- FLUX.2 text-to-image: "Enable Turbo LoRA" (node 104). Switch(model) 102 passes either UNETLoader 12 (off) or LoraLoaderModelOnly 101 with Flux_2-Turbo-LoRA_comfyui (on). Switch(steps) 103 feeds Flux2Scheduler 48: 20 steps off, 8 on. There is no CFG switch: the graph uses BasicGuider with FluxGuidance (saved 4), and the toggle does not change it.
- Wan 2.2 14B T2V: "Enable Lightning LoRA" (node 129). Model switches 120 (high noise) and 121 (low noise) pass either the raw UNETs 75/76 or the v1.1 lightx2v LoRAs 83/85 at strength 1. Switches feed both KSamplerAdvanced nodes: steps 20 or 4 (122), CFG 3.5 or 1 (124) and expert handoff step 10 or 2 (123).
- Wan 2.2 14B I2V: "Enable 4steps LoRA?" (node 131). Same structure with I2V files: model switches 116/117 pass the UNETs 95/96 or the v1 I2V lightx2v LoRAs 101/102; steps 20 or 4 (119), CFG 3.5 or 1 (120), handoff 10 or 2 (125).
- Qwen-Image-Edit-2511: "Enable 4steps LoRA?" (node 168). Switch (Model) 163 passes either the CFGNorm output (off) or the Lightning V1.0 bf16 LoRA applied after CFGNorm (on); steps 40 or 4 (167); CFG 4 or 1 (164). There is a single KSampler and no handoff, and shift 3.1 applies on both routes.

Side by side (off / on)
- FLUX.2 t2i: steps 20 / 8; model base / Turbo LoRA; CFG not switched.
- Wan 2.2 14B T2V: steps 20 / 4; CFG 3.5 / 1; handoff 10 / 2; both experts base / v1.1 LoRAs.
- Wan 2.2 14B I2V: steps 20 / 4; CFG 3.5 / 1; handoff 10 / 2; both experts base / v1 I2V LoRAs.
- Qwen-Image-Edit-2511: steps 40 / 4; CFG 4 / 1; model base / Lightning LoRA after CFGNorm.

Saved sampler widgets that mislead
- Both Wan templates: the KSamplerAdvanced nodes (T2V 81 and 78; I2V 86 and 85) store 4 steps and CFG 1, which are the "on" values, while the switch is saved off. The linked switch values, 20 steps and CFG 3.5, are what run by default.
- Qwen-Image-Edit-2511: KSampler 169 stores CFG 3, which matches neither route (4 off, 1 on).
- FLUX.2: Flux2Scheduler 48 stores 20, matching the off route, so there is no mismatch.
Rule: when a sampler input is linked to a switch, read the switch, not the widget.

Patterns that hold across all four
- The boolean is promoted to the subgraph wrapper, so you toggle it on the wrapper node rather than inside the subgraph. The FLUX.2 wrapper (98), Wan T2V wrapper (128) and Qwen wrapper (170) promote it as a proxy widget. The Wan I2V wrapper (129) stores it in its own saved values.
- The LoRA loaders and LoRA files stay in the graph when the switch is off; the switch only chooses which model output reaches the sampler. Keep the LoRA files installed if you may turn the switch on. The graphs do not show whether an unselected branch is evaluated, so do not delete the loaders.
- In the Wan templates, steps and expert handoff move together (20 with 10, 4 with 2). If you set steps by hand instead of using the switch, set the handoff to match.
- FLUX.2's Turbo route changes steps only; its guidance value stays the same.

LoRA files the "on" route loads (models/loras)
Flux_2-Turbo-LoRA_comfyui.safetensors (FLUX.2); wan2.2_t2v_lightx2v_4steps_lora_v1.1_high_noise and _low_noise (Wan T2V); wan2.2_i2v_lightx2v_4steps_lora_v1_high_noise and _low_noise (Wan I2V); Qwen-Image-Edit-2511-Lightning-4steps-V1.0-bf16 (Qwen). The files are .safetensors, as named in each graph.

Limits. Static reading only. The switch values are what the graphs wire, not tested results. Timing notes inside some templates are author statements. Nothing here establishes speed, quality, memory fit or whether a runtime skips unselected branches.
