# Missing ComfyUI models or nodes: identify dependencies, use the documented installer, then verify a first run

A pinned dependency and first-run checklist with the official Manager new UI path, schema limitations and an inspected Wan2.2 example. No workflow or installer was executed.

Start with the exact workflow file and revision. Read its actual node types and node properties, not just its thumbnail or model display names. In the inspected frontend schema, cnr_id, aux_id and ver are optional. Model declarations may omit URL, directory and hash; a workflow loading successfully is not proof that its dependencies are complete or verified. Missing identity or model-byte hashes stay unknown.

For custom nodes, the pinned official Manager new UI documentation describes a missing-node prompt when Manager is properly installed. Choose Open Manager to inspect details. Search by individual node or Node Pack, inspect the repository information and version in the detail panel, select the intended node card, then Install; the Version selector supports a specific version. This edition installs registry nodes only and does not offer git installation. Registry presence is an identification route, not a security audit. If identity or origin remains ambiguous, stop that dependency and resolve it rather than installing a similarly named pack.

For models, compare each loader with the workflow node properties: exact filename, URL, directory and available hash. The inspected Wan2.2 5B workflow, at template commit 3c2199b9362457b12b9c60c6cc303501526ebd62, names wan2.2_ti2v_5B_fp16.safetensors in models/diffusion_models, umt5_xxl_fp8_e4m3fn_scaled.safetensors in models/text_encoders, and wan2.2_vae.safetensors in models/vae, with Comfy-Org Hugging Face links. Those links use resolve/main: record the resolved model repository revisions and hashes separately. No model bytes were downloaded or checked here; obtain and review each component’s actual use terms before using it.

This particular graph uses comfy-core node identities. VHS editor preferences alone do not require VideoHelperSuite. Its recorded core tag is 0.3.45; that metadata alone does not establish a minimum compatible install. Its reference-image node is bypassed, and the group instructs Ctrl+B to enable image-to-video. These details distinguish a missing dependency from a disabled input branch.

Suggested first-run verification (curator procedure, untested): record the installed core/frontend/node versions; confirm the exact model files appear in the intended loaders and the missing-node errors are resolved; select the intended text or image branch and reference image; save the effective seed and all settings; submit one run and retain the error or actual output. For video inspect the saved file, dimensions, frame count, frame rate and intended subject/reference behavior. This template’s documented defaults include 1280x704, 121 frames and 24 fps; they are not a measured hardware or success guarantee. Keep dependency, loading, execution and visual-quality failures separate.

Manager instructions apply to the pinned new UI edition, not every historical Manager.
