Higher start blocks (b30-49) lean towards quality; lower ones (b20-49, b15-49) towards reference adherence.\n\nBuild: a byte-for-byte copy of Kijai's minimax_h3_fl2va_pruned_w4a8_mixed.safetensors with blocks.25-49.adaln_proj.linear weight and bias overwritten from the matching ref2va W4A8 file (50 tensors, 43.5 MB); the header and quantization metadata are unchanged and nothing was requantized or trained. Result: 12,540,858,008 bytes, 1,132 tensors. Quantization: the 200 block linears use asym_w4a8_int8 with group size 16 and ConvRot (group 256); token refiner, norms, adaln_proj, patch, condition and output layers stay BF16/F16/F32.\n\nVerification by the author: all 332 unquantized tensors are byte-identical to the existing b25-49 INT8 hybrid; dequantized linears match it with cosine 0.99725-0.99731 and 7.33-7.42% relative RMS difference, the expected size of the coarser 4-bit step; on-device output cosine 0.999948 against a dequantize-then-matmul reference.\n\nHardware: the native W4A8 kernel needs compute capability 8.0 or newer. On older GPUs it falls back to a correct but slow eager path. Measured on a GTX 1660 SUPER (sm_75) for one 28672x5376 layer: W4A8 fallback 219 ms, INT8 ConvRot 83 ms, BF16 475 ms. So on Turing / GTX 16 series use the INT8 hybrid; on Ampere and newer this W4A8 file is both smaller and faster.\n\nComfyUI: put it in models/diffusion_models and load with the stock Load Diffusion Model node on a ComfyUI build with INT8 ConvRot and W4A8 support (the log shows \"Detected mixed precision quantization\"). It routes as ref2va: keyframes through MiniMaxH3AddKeyframes and subject/scene/style references through MiniMaxH3ReferenceToVideo, usable together; plain text-to-video and first-frame workflows also work. Use the usual H3 text encoder and video/audio VAEs. Licence: conversion Apache-2.0; MiniMax H3 weights remain under the MiniMax H3 Community License (check its territory limits).\n\nBased on the binglingzhimeng/minimax_h3_hybrid_fl2va_ref2va_b25-49_w4a8_mixed card pinned to revision 7d227227e1b452384d52183c4659721f0cc8d019 and observed on 2026-10-28.\nTimings are one layer on one GPU by the author; end-to-end speed and quality were not measured.
