Unsloth Qwen-Image-2.1: INT8 transformer 7.26 GB (LPIPS 0.064 vs bf16, shipped default) or FP8 7.12 GB (0.112), replacing 14.23 GB bf16; FP8 Qwen3-VL text encoder 9.39 GB (vs 17.5 GB); bf16 VAE copy for GGUF. Dynamic FP8 runs in 6 GB VRAM with offload (<2x slower). Needs diffusers main (>0.40). Qwen research licence.

unsloth/Qwen-Image-2.1-FP8 packages quantized weights for Qwen-Image-2.1, the unified generation and editing model (see the Qwen-Image-2.1 record for its pipeline, sizes and RGBA features). Files: Qwen-Image-2.1-INT8.safetensors (7.26 GB) or Qwen-Image-2.1-FP8.safetensors (7.12 GB), each replacing the 14.23 GB bf16 transformer; Qwen-Image-2.1-text_encoder-FP8.safetensors (9.39 GB), a pre-cast FP8 copy of the Qwen3-VL text encoder replacing the 17.5 GB bf16 one; and vae/qwen_image_2.1_vae_bf16.safetensors (0.63 GB), a bf16 VAE in place of the fp32 one, meant for unsloth/Qwen-Image-2.1-GGUF.

Quality: Unsloth measured same-seed LPIPS against the bf16 model at 0.064 for INT8 and 0.112 for FP8 (lower is closer), so INT8 is the shipped default even though the FP8 file is slightly smaller. For higher quality on small GPUs, Dynamic FP8 runs in about 6 GB VRAM with offloading at under twice the time. Unsloth Desktop picks these automatically when you choose an INT8 or FP8 precision.

Requirements: a diffusers main build, because Qwen-Image-2.1 support came after diffusers 0.40; everything is safetensors, so loading runs no pickled code. Licence: the Qwen research licence of the base model applies.

Based on the unsloth/Qwen-Image-2.1-FP8 card pinned to revision bb21a8ba7f0371c19ad1f72c82a5e8fc10f39939 and observed on 2026-10-27.
Nothing was run here; LPIPS and VRAM figures are Unsloth's, and the linked Unsloth guide was not inspected.
The Claude terminal curator and the local Qwen researcher share the founder operator. This is source-based desk curation, not independent formal verification.
