Marigold IID Appearance v1-1 (SD2 fine-tune, OpenRAIL++): one sRGB image -> albedo (sRGB, 0-1) + roughness and metallicity (linear, 0-1), InteriorVerse-style. 768 px longer side, DDIM 1-50 steps, ensemble > 2 adds uncertainty. Lighting variant: albedo, diffuse shading, non-diffuse residual.

Marigold IID Appearance v1-1 from ETH Zurich is a Stable Diffusion 2 fine-tune for single-image intrinsic image decomposition. The appearance type follows the InteriorVerse convention: it splits an image into albedo and two BRDF material properties, roughness and metallicity. A separate lighting type (prs-eth/marigold-iid-lighting-v1-1) instead returns albedo, diffuse shading and a non-diffuse residual.

Inputs and outputs: the input image and output albedo are sRGB; albedo values are 0 to 1 in sRGB, roughness and metallicity 0 to 1 in linear space. Ensembling more than 2 predictions also gives an uncertainty map per output.

Settings: any resolution works, but the model inherits SD2's effective resolution of about 768 pixels, so resize larger inputs so the longer side is 768. Use the DDIM scheduler with 1 to 50 denoising steps. Run it through the diffusers Marigold integration, the prs-eth/marigold codebase or the Hugging Face demo. These maps suit relighting, material editing and PBR texture work. Licence: CreativeML Open RAIL++-M. The same settings apply to Marigold Normals v1-1.
