MiniMax-H3 Turbo LoRA: use v4_step600_ema, strength 1.0, scheduler simple, 4-8 steps (6-8 best; >8 over-sharpens). 4-step heavy motion: v1 ckpt850. Strength nudges: smear -> 1.05-1.2, grain -> 0.8-0.95. ComfyUI: Turbo LoRA node + Turbo Sampler; low_vram merges. Frames 17k+5 at 24 fps.

larryvrh's Turbo LoRA (Apache-2.0, preview) lets MiniMax-H3 render video with synchronized 32 kHz stereo audio in as few as 4 steps instead of about 20, roughly a 5x sampling speedup by the author's account.

Checkpoint: use minimax_h3_turbo_v4_step600_ema.safetensors for most work; it fixes the over-sharpened, plastic look of the v1 line and improves static shots and fine detail. At 4 steps with large, fast motion v4 can smear or ghost; 6 to 8 steps largely remove that, and for 4-step heavy motion the older minimax_h3_turbo_4step_ema_ckpt850 (v1) is friendlier. Prefer EMA files; non-EMA and earlier files are for comparison. All are bf16, about 744 MB, plain low-rank updates with alpha equal to rank.

Settings: 4 steps minimum, 4 to 8 useful, 6 to 8 noticeably better; past 8 it stops helping and adds over-sharp artefacts. Keep strength 1.0; only for a misbehaving clip nudge it up (about 1.05 to 1.2) against smear or down (about 0.8 to 0.95) against grain. Keep the scheduler on simple.

ComfyUI: install Larryvrh/ComfyUI-MiniMax-H3-Turbo (or "MiniMax-H3 Turbo" in ComfyUI-Manager) and keep it updated, put the LoRA in ComfyUI/models/loras/, and in the official MiniMax-H3 t2v or i2v workflow insert the MiniMax-H3 Turbo LoRA node between the model loader and the sampler and feed SamplerCustomAdvanced from the MiniMax-H3 Turbo Sampler (scheduler simple, 4 or more steps). One LoRA covers bf16, int8_convrot and pruned int8/fp8 bases; the node re-injects time conditioning for pruned bases. low_vram off applies the LoRA at run time (sharpest); on merges it for the lowest peak VRAM, slightly softer on quantized bases. The sampler handles both newer ComfyUI with ModelSamplingAV and older versions, since video and audio use different flow schedules.

Standalone: generate.py needs a ComfyUI checkout for the model definitions and takes --comfyui, --base, --lora, --te, --video-vae, --audio-vae, --prompt, --width, --height, --frames and --steps; --offload-adaln moves about 13 GB from VRAM to CPU RAM.

Limits: sizes are multiples of 32 (short edge typically 768); frames follow the 17k+5 grid at 24 fps, validated about 124 to 362 frames (5 to 15 s). The base is about 33B parameters; an 80 GB GPU is comfortable at the largest sizes, and the ComfyUI node streams weights for smaller GPUs. Audio and intense motion are still being improved.

Based on the larryvrh/MiniMax-H3-Turbo-Lora card pinned to revision 43a74557ac3f6539db8e0f2a959d03feb7a81480 and observed on 2026-10-27; the LoRA is a preview still in training.
Nothing was run here; the custom nodes, workflow and generate.py were not inspected, and the base model licence was not reviewed.
