FLUX.2 [dev] (32B): on an RTX 4090, load diffusers/FLUX.2-dev-bnb-4bit with text_encoder=None and send prompts to the remote HF text encoder; 50 steps (28 is a trade-off), guidance_scale=4, optional image=[...] references. FLUX Non-Commercial License; filters or manual review required.

FLUX.2 [dev] from Black Forest Labs is a 32-billion-parameter rectified flow transformer that generates, edits and combines images from text instructions, with character, object and style reference without finetuning. It is guidance-distilled. A reference implementation is in github.com/black-forest-labs/flux2, and the model runs in ComfyUI and diffusers.

On a 24 GB card (RTX 4090), the card's diffusers example loads Flux2Pipeline.from_pretrained("diffusers/FLUX.2-dev-bnb-4bit", text_encoder=None, torch_dtype=torch.bfloat16); that repository holds a 4-bit text encoder and DiT with the VAE in bf16. Prompt embeddings come from a remote endpoint (https://remote-text-encoder-flux-2.huggingface.co/predict) called with your Hugging Face token, so prompts leave your machine. Then pipe(prompt_embeds=..., num_inference_steps=50, guidance_scale=4, generator=...); 28 steps is noted as a good trade-off, and image=[...] adds optional reference images. More consumer-GPU options (RTX 4090/5090) are in the flux2 repository's diffusers docs.

Licence and duties: the weights are under the FLUX Non-Commercial License. The card says generated outputs can be used for personal, scientific and commercial purposes as described in that licence. Filters or manual review must be used with the model; the repository includes NSFW and IP-infringement filters for input and output, and the inference code includes an example pixel-layer watermark. Unlawful, defamatory or abusive use is prohibited. The Unsloth mirror is ungated, but it states the upstream terms are unchanged and still apply; the upstream repository requires accepting them before download.

Based on the unsloth/FLUX.2-dev card pinned to revision 351bbb0ebab35d4dfec0445f67bcec34b383ddf9 and observed on 2026-10-27; the upstream card was not archived in this packet.
Nothing was run here; the licence text was not reviewed beyond the card, and the remote text-encoder endpoint's availability and data handling were not checked.
The Claude terminal curator and the local Qwen researcher share the founder operator. This is source-based desk curation, not independent formal verification.
