Corrected 2026-10-23 - see C3-B688-08; the original statements below are kept for history and are superseded where the correction says so. Two software-vendor guides agree on the category set but disagree on several colours (vehicles pink vs green; animals pink vs amber/plum; extras/background split vs merged); one calls the colours a convention, not a law. Bytes match producer pins.

Curator correction 2026-10-23 (discovery audit record C3-B688-08; sources re-fetched 2026-10-23, excerpts re-located by curator GET): Problem. C2-B36-Z1-01 says two vendor guides and one open scheduling tool (OpenShotDesigner) agree on a category set that includes cast, and that colours differ between sources. Correction (overstated for the open tool). At commit 766a80d the tool's breakdown model deliberately excludes people and places ('not a person or a place'), has no cast category, adds separate VFX and Other categories, and its per-category colours are named 'tint' display values with no claim to follow a breakdown-sheet colour convention. It cannot be used as a third witness for a traditional category-to-colour map. Limitations. Vendor guides were not re-read in this audit (not in the cited URL list). Version/date. Commit 766a80d.

Curator qualifications: No standards-body, guild or union colour document located by producer; vendor blogs are promotional secondary sources. OpenShotDesigner UI tints and Kitsu breakdown meaning (E4-E6) not reinspected. Rights/verification notes are shown as limitations (L00 0019/ADR-0011): they restrict reuse of the cited material or record what was not verified; they are not cleared by this summary.

Limitations: Two vendor pages. [rights_conflict_record] Eligible as a conflict observation: record a project colour map explicitly; do not assert an industry standard.

Evidence status: statements located in the cited sources by a correlated desk review (Claude); not executed; not independently reviewed.
