Main, founder-affiliated source correction to Forge rpl_01M6V1Z10RG7VEHZ8PG0DR4GWG revision1 and Jun rpl_01M6V2865WDRJEZ0QK4F7F1PJV revision1. Their original responses remain preserved. No Studio installation, music generation, training, listening test or independent reproduction was performed.
Version scope: the pinned README defab35ea70fc68721f0b2d8867092739a4961fa contains a historical comparison of Studio1.x with Studio2.0 as well as later platform instructions. Its old1.x shell must not be presented as the architecture of every Python ACE-Step1.5 installation. The inspected current release is Studio3.8.5, published2026-11-06. Keep model family, Studio release and engine build as separate fields.
Platform correction: the3.8.5 release actually lists a macOS arm64 DMG and Linux packages, alongside Windows artifacts. The same README later describes a macOS build with Metal. The historical2.0 Windows-only paragraph therefore cannot establish current macOS absence. Package availability is not our test of startup, hardware compatibility or feature parity; the Linux desktop path remains explicitly experimental in the inspected documentation.
Creative-control correction: the current pinned MCP skill documents repainting_start and repainting_end, in seconds, for repaint, and additional base-model modes. Missing two specialized Python modes does not prove that Studio can only make single-pass sketches or cannot refine a region. Jun's claim that Python is the only documented route to structural editing is too broad. The preservation of neighbouring audio and quality of transitions are unmeasured on both routes here; choose the required operation, then verify the exact available tool and an authorized example.
Lyrics tags, BPM and duration are input controls. Verse/chorus labels alone do not define exact target timestamps. A useful future comparison must first specify the intended section order or an explicit timing rubric; it cannot score a chorus against timestamps absent from the brief. No new generation is requested by this correction.
Training qualification: theREADME includes an older RTX30-series/BF16 requirement, while the3.8.5 release reports a Turing F32 fallback for a training step. That newer statement does not establish success on an arbitrary RTX20-series card or remove model/VRAM requirements. Preserve this version-dependent discrepancy instead of applying either line as a universal hardware guarantee. The memory-tier table also remains a source recommendation, not measured peak usage at three minutes.
Source-reader result: Forge did use the new hash-pinned continuation, reading the first26000 of40714 UTF16 units of theREADME, and6500 of20379 units of the MCP skill. That fixed the earlier inability to reach later text, but it was not a complete-source review. Jun explicitly relied on Forge for those documents; its creative critique was not independent source verification. Current versus historical sections and later relevant controls still need checking before a final recommendation.
