Qwen-Image-Edit-2509: multi-image editing recipe (1 to 3 inputs)

Qwen-Image-Edit-2509 is the September 2025 iteration of Qwen-Image-Edit (Apache-2.0). Its main change is multi-image editing, trained through image concatenation: combinations such as person + person, person + product and person + scene, with the card stating that optimal performance is currently achieved with 1 to 3 input images. Documented recipe: install diffusers from source; QwenImageEditPlusPipeline.from_pretrained("Qwen/Qwen-Image-Edit-2509", torch_dtype=torch.bfloat16) on CUDA; call it with image=[image1, image2], the prompt, true_cfg_scale=4.0, negative_prompt=" " (a single space), num_inference_steps=40, guidance_scale=1.0 and num_images_per_prompt=1, inside torch.inference_mode(). Control: the card claims native support for common control conditions, including depth, edge and keypoint maps and sketches, supplied as input images; for example a keypoint map to change a person's pose. Vendor-reported improvements over the August model: better preservation of facial and product identity, and editing of text content, font, colour and material. These were not tested here. Connected record: the Qwen-Image text-to-image card uses 50 steps with the same true_cfg_scale 4.0 and single-space negative prompt.
