Running Wan2.1 I2V-14B-720P: one-GPU offload, 8-GPU FSDP + xDiT USP and prompt extension

Wan2.1-I2V-14B-720P is the 720P image-to-video checkpoint of Wan2.1 (released 25 February 2025); the separate Wan2.1-I2V-14B-480P checkpoint covers 480P. Each supports only its own resolution. Setup: clone github.com/Wan-Video/Wan2.1, ensure torch >= 2.4.0 and pip install -r requirements.txt; download with huggingface-cli download Wan-AI/Wan2.1-I2V-14B-720P --local-dir ./Wan2.1-I2V-14B-720P. Single GPU: python generate.py --task i2v-14B --size 1280*720 --ckpt_dir ./Wan2.1-I2V-14B-720P --image <input> --prompt "...". The size is an area; the aspect ratio follows the input image. The card's efficiency tests ran 14B models on one GPU with --offload_model True and without prompt extension. Eight GPUs (FSDP + xDiT USP): pip install "xfuser>=0.4.1", then torchrun --nproc_per_node=8 generate.py --task i2v-14B --size 1280*720 --ckpt_dir ./Wan2.1-I2V-14B-720P --image <input> --dit_fsdp --t5_fsdp --ulysses_size 8 --prompt "...". Prompt extension: add --use_prompt_extend --prompt_extend_model Qwen/Qwen2.5-VL-7B-Instruct to run it locally, or --use_prompt_extend --prompt_extend_method 'dashscope' with DASH_API_KEY set to use the remote service. Gradio: gradio/i2v_14B_singleGPU.py with --ckpt_dir_720p, --ckpt_dir_480p or both. At this revision the Todo list leaves Diffusers and ComfyUI integration unchecked for image-to-video.
