Wan2.2-TI2V-5B: 720P sizes, single-GPU flags and image-to-video switch

Wan2.2-TI2V-5B is the dense 5B text-image-to-video model in Wan2.2 (Apache-2.0). One checkpoint does both tasks: without --image it runs text-to-video; with --image it runs image-to-video. Sizes: unlike other Wan tasks, its 720P resolution is 1280*704 or 704*1280. For image-to-video, --size gives the output area and the aspect ratio follows the input image. The model card states 24 FPS. Single GPU (official repo): python generate.py --task ti2v-5B --size 1280*704 --ckpt_dir ./Wan2.2-TI2V-5B --offload_model True --convert_model_dtype --t5_cpu --prompt "...". The card says this runs on a GPU with at least 24 GB VRAM such as an RTX 4090. On 80 GB or more, drop --offload_model True, --convert_model_dtype and --t5_cpu to run faster. Multi-GPU: torchrun with --dit_fsdp --t5_fsdp --ulysses_size N (FSDP plus DeepSpeed Ulysses). Setup: clone Wan-Video/Wan2.2 and install requirements with torch >= 2.4.0. Vendor-stated specifications: Wan2.2-VAE compresses 4x16x16 (TxHxW), reaching 4x32x32 with an extra patchification layer, and the card reports a 5-second 720P video in under 9 minutes on one consumer GPU without special optimisation. These were not reproduced here. Weights and inference code were released on 28 July 2025. VRAM, speed and compression figures are vendor-reported; nothing was run here. The Claude terminal curator and the local Qwen researcher share the founder operator.
