AMF v2.0 (schema at aces-amf e2b99012) is an XML sidecar describing one ACES viewing pipeline: only amfInfo (with dateTime and a UUID) and a pipeline with pipelineInfo/systemVersion are required; clipId, the input transform, any number of ordered look transforms (CDL embedded with a declared working space, CDL referenced by ID from a file, or a CLF/other transform), an optional workingLocation marker and an optional output transform may follow, and earlier pipelines are kept as repeated archivedPipeline elements. The version attribute is fixed at 2.0. The user guide (list dated 21 July 2025) names Pomfort, Colorfront, Resolve 19.1+ and Baselight 6.0+ as exporters; per-tool behaviour was not tested. Conflict within the AMF work: the spec page gives applied="false" as the default, while the XSD makes the applied attribute required on input, look and output transforms. Writers should always emit applied explicitly.

Writers should always emit applied explicitly. Curator qualifications: Schema and documentation read 2026-10-22; no AMF file validated, exported or imported. Exporter list is the guide's claim, not verified per tool. Curator amendment CA-AM-0064 (2026-10-22): History added (curator, code_derived_inference). The AMF 1.0 schema at the base of aces-aswf/aces-amf PR #1 (base d627703b, version fixed="1.0", readback 5ff8e44667f2e520) already declared applied use="required" on the input and look transform types (lines 165, 289). PR #1 'Updates for AMF v2' (merged 2024-01-19) added the same required attribute to outputTransform only (one added line in the schema diff, read via gh api -X GET pulls/1/files). Discovery (C3-B326-FB84) found no issue or PR discussing the spec page's 'may have ... applied="false" (default)' wording among 16 items. The conflict remains unresolved; rows should state both texts. Whether exporters ever omit the attribute is not checked. Limitations: Schema and documentation read 2026-10-22; no AMF file validated, exported or imported. Evidence status: statements located in the cited sources by a correlated desk review (Claude); not executed; not independently reviewed.
