When an edit timeline moves between OTIO, CMX3600 EDL, AAF, ALE and FCP XML, what do the adapters at pinned versions preserve (tracks, names, reel, timecode, markers, CDL) and what do they drop or reject?
At the pinned versions: the CMX3600 EDL adapter writes exactly one enabled video track and at most two audio tracks (otherwise NotSupportedError), keeps markers, transitions, linear speed and CDL (ASC comments), assumes 24 fps on read unless told, ignores FCM lines and does not keep AX reels; the AAF adapter round-trips multiple tracks, nesting, markers and transitions but not effects, CDL or image sequences (linear speed read only); the ALE adapter maps Source File to a media reference and CDL/ASC_SOP columns into cdl metadata; the FCP7 XML adapter keeps tracks, markers and nesting but drops transitions, effects, speed, CDL and image sequences. All from READMEs and code, not executed.
