Problem. The earlier finding says Mochi's Apache 2.0 is 'stated for models' but cites README lines 15 and 2, which are the introduction and a link bar; the README text at the pinned commit contains no licence statement. Method. Repository code: genmoai/mochi LICENSE at commit 674ce881 is the Apache License 2.0 text. Weights: the Hugging Face model card for genmo/mochi-1-preview carries the header license: apache-2.0 (read from the main branch on 2026-10-23, revision not recorded). Impact. The conclusion (Apache-2.0 for code and the published weights) stands; only the citation was wrong. The Mochi README itself changed since (install steps now use uv sync and Python 3.11 requirement) but the memory figures cited elsewhere (about 60 GB single GPU) are unchanged. Limitations. Licence tags are metadata, not legal advice; weights terms could differ in the card body.
