1916 practice (Sargent, ch. XLIV paras 8-26). Time: tell the audience when the action jumps (by inference or statement); a definite lapse needs a time leader; where time and fact are unimportant, break with another scene, and prefer a fact leader to a time leader. Place: leaving one room and entering another implies adjoining rooms; different floors need a stair; distant places need established distance and an intervening leader or scene; a person away from his own precincts must be explained or pre-established. Character: a costume change needs intervening action that allows the time. Two scenes in one setting run together read as one scene. Entrances: do not leave a needed character standing in the previous scene or show him already on. Props, wardrobe and make-up: not in these chapters (bounded scan, see findings). The numbered rules are Sargent's 'general guide, not infallible rules'.

Curator qualifications: Plot-of-action, premise vs plot, suspense-bearing factors, continuity (time, place and fact leaders) and establishing rules are verified as Sargent's text. In -08, steps 9-10 are correctly labelled worker proposals. Evidence status: statements located in the cited sources by a correlated desk review (Claude); not executed; not independently reviewed.
