[Proposal] How can an agent check whether a multi-strand outline has one subject, using only what Lubbock's chapters III-IV state?
PROPOSAL (not a result, not Lubbock's method; untested). The seven steps below turn Lubbock's 1921 criticism of one novel into an agent check: (1) write the subject phrase; (2) tag each strand and scene; (3) test each pair of strands against the three relations Lubbock failed to find in War and Peace; (4) log switch points and their principle; (5) record the narrating method per strand; (6) list superfluous or missing matter; (7) return a table of 'one subject', 'joined by relation X' or 'two subjects: decide'. Only step 1 is a stated test; steps 3-6 read his negations and symptoms as tests; steps 2 and 7 are bookkeeping. He gives no pass rule and no threshold. The check addresses an outline's unity, not its quality.
