Netflix's Branded Delivery Specifications changed Atmos rules in two steps. Version 5.1 (change log 12 September 2023) removed the separate 2.0 stereo M&E. Version 5.2 (change log 21 October 2024) widened the Atmos group labels from four (Dialog, Music, Effects, Narration) to seven (adding Group ADR, Backgrounds, Foley), made 5.1 and 2.0 deliverables optional for Atmos mixes, and replaced the '-2 dBFS true-peak' sentence with a recommendation to set limiters at -2.3. The separate Atmos requirements page (v2.3, 'updated for parity' with the Branded spec) still showed the older wording in an April 2026 capture, and showed the 5.2 wording by October 2026 (curator cross-check).
