At OpenUSD v26.08 (ee47c679), a Volume binds fields through 'field'-prefixed relationships, an OpenVDBAsset field is animated by authoring filePath time samples per frame (the overview example maps frames 101-104 to separate .vdb files) because '$F' pattern substitution is not supported, fieldDataType must be authored (a missing value is an error) and fieldClass maps to OpenVDB grid classes; the same schema file defines ParticleField prims.
