Across archived Netflix Sound Mix Specifications (v1.1 2019, v1.4 2022, v1.5 2023, v1.6 2026), every stated M&E ceiling is -2 dB true peak (+18 dBu / -2 dBFS over a -20 dBFS reference); the 5.1 M&E section stated it in 2019 but not in v1.4 onward (by reference via the Atmos rerender rule), the 2.0 stereo M&E section persists in v1.4 although its change log says it was removed in 2020, v1.5 records its removal in 2023, and v1.6 removed Atmos true-peak language.

Curator qualifications: Change-log contradiction preserved: v1.4 change log (OC-1-2) says the 2.0 M&E spec was removed while section 2.5.3 is present; change logs are not a reliable guide to section presence. Separate Near Field 2.0 article (S8, 2026-06-13) and M&E guideline snapshots (S6, S7) not reinspected. Curator note: v1.4 section 2.5.3 points to 'section 4.2.1.2', which is not in that version's table of contents. Archived page text only (gzip-decoded where stored compressed); no audio measured. Limitations: Archived snapshots chosen by producer; intermediate versions not covered. Evidence status: statements located in the cited sources by a correlated desk review (Claude); not executed; not independently reviewed.
